In conducting the above business, with respect to the protection of personal information that is the information source, AIP complies with, amongst others, laws concerning the handling of personal information, guidelines provided by the government, the "Guidelines for Personal Information Protection in the Marketing Research Industry" and the "Code of Conduct of Marketing Research" stipulated by the Japan Marketing Research Association to which we accede, the "ICC/ESOMAR Code" that is the code of conduct for the marketing research industry.

As well as gathering and using personal information appropriately, and paying adequate attention to and taking appropriate measures for the safety, custody and management of the information given by the principle person, AIP hereby declares to both those inside and outside of the company that we stipulate, practice and maintain this "Privacy Policy."

AIP's Marketing Research Division is engaged in the business of conducting marketing research, and aims to research consumer awareness and circumstances regarding products and services, to acquire such information, and to provide companies and other organizations with such information upon processing it statistically. The personal information acquired by AIP for the purpose of conducting this business will be, summarized as aggregate statistical information, and will not be used in a manner enabling personal identification of an individual.
2. In order to specify a target to participate in our marketing research survey, AIP may, acquire a name, addresses, etc. in advance. The information is acquired through various information sources, such as registering himself/herself as a member of our Webpage created for market research surveys, or receiving provision from the consignor of the marketing research business (Client). This information is treated appropriately and legally.

AIP may broadly recruit people who will cooperate in our marketing research, and may register the applicants (hereinafter called the “Panel") as respondents; however, prior to the application, we notify them of the purpose of using their personal information acquired through the relevant recruitment, in accordance with various regulations, privacy policy, etc. publicized on our Website.

AIP may conduct a survey without specifying a respondent (Target of Survey) whom we request to cooperate in our marketing research, and may acquire personal information such as name, address at that time. In that case, we will notify the respondent of the purpose of use, in writing or orally, beforehand.

The AIP marketing system division is engaged in the business of web marketing, online system development, and development, maintenance and operation of websites (hereinafter collectively called “Web Marketing”), and aims to support marketing activities of the consignor of business (Client) through the development of online systems, etc. We may be entrusted with the business using the personal information of the consignor’s customers/members provided from such consignor, or the personal information collected on behalf of the consignor.
2. The personal information acquired by AIP with the objective of practicing the relevant business will be destroyed or returned to the consignor immediately after the relevant business is completed, and we will not continue to hold, or divert such information with other objectives.

AIP will register the personal information necessary for the recruitment activities at the time of application to us, such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc., will accumulate such information as a database, and will stringently manage and operate such information as personal information for selection in the recruitment process.
